Welcome to that time of year where everyone pretends to be Irish! And you too can easily pull off the ruse by showing off your homemade St. Patrick’s Day inspired photo booth.
Start off your international celebration with lots of green and show off your team spirit with personalized name banners. Grab a friend and some feather boas and take turns displaying your best side for the camera. Make things extra special by not only posing with your loved one, but also busting out some DIY paper chains as a backdrop. Get the little ones into the swing of things by arming them with some props and get ready for a super cute photo shoot. Take your luck over the rainbow and embrace Ireland forever! State your true feelings on a chalkboard and enjoy the togetherness of the day. Make sure to stop by the Whisker Works prop shop and pick up one of our new green beards.

King of Mardi Gras
Let the good times roll with a classic Mardi Gras themed party and photo booth. Today’s parties are nothing like the original celebrations. America’s first Mardi Gras was celebrated in 1703 by the tiny settlement of Fort Louis de la Mobile (Mobile, LA). The most famous parties are held in New Orleans, LA but Mardi Gras is also celebrated in several cities in Europe too.
Make your own fun by kicking up your heels and throwing on a gold mask and plenty of beads. Or glitz and glam it up and smile big for the camera. Add a feather mask and feather boa for an instant bash with friends. Better yet, plan a themed date night New Orleans style and pull out all the stops.

Bring Home the Gold
The Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics are still underway and what better way to bring home the gold than to throw a party! The closing ceremonies will take place on Sunday, February 23, 2014. The kids will cheer and jump for joy when you hand out the medals on a DIY podium. Or take a shot at making your own Olympic torch and Olympic rings to enhance all those dazzling photo booth smiles. Round up the troops and pump up the silly factor with tons of Olympic themed props for all! Whisker Works has metallic gold, silver and bronze mustaches to meet your needs.
To make the torch shown above, VOX magazine says to “roll gold-glitter paper into a cone and hot glue it. Then cut orange, gold and darker orange tissue paper into the shape of flames. Crumple the ends and stuff them into the cone. Finally, fluff the flames until you get the desired fiery look.”

Hearts Aplenty
It’s that time of year to celebrate all things representing love. Get your photo booth started with something as simple as a heart rug that is hung on the wall and snap away. Round up the kids and friends and create some memories with a classic kissing booth. Try adding some chocolates to the booth to make photos extra fun. Send some hugs and kisses with letters on a stick and profess your love for your betrothed. Get all dolled up and use multicolor balloons of varying lengths to frame your photo. Create heart laced vertical garland with a heart hole punch and some fishing line. Paper hearts and props will make a big difference for big and little smiles.

Shades of Ombre
Ombre can be seen everywhere from hair to nails to party themes. Meaning “having colors or tones that shade into each other,” an ombre backdrop can super charge your event with bursts of blended color. Make a craft day of it by rounding up some fabric and spend some time dyeing them various shades of the same color. Or keep it simple by forming crepe paper into twisty strands that will make your guests ooh and aah. A little goes a long way with multicolored papers, balloons or feather boas for your very own do-it-yourself photo booth.
